"In this specific case, the Almadas, Faria Guimarães and Antas I and II tunnels will be closed, on different days, for two nights, between 10 pm and 6 am, in order to guarantee safe conditions for the mobility of people and vehicles", according to the Porto City Council.

Specifically, from 22:00 on Tuesday until 06:00 on Wednesday, the Almadas and Faria Guimarães tunnels will be closed, and from 22:00 on Wednesday until 06:00 on Thursday, it will be the turn of the Antas I and II tunnels to be closed.

The interventions are taking place "for the purpose of maintaining fire extinguishing systems and to ensure safe conditions for the mobility of people and vehicles", says the city hall.

"Scheduled maintenance work is a constant on this type of infrastructure, carried out by the Porto municipality, requiring interruptions, normally at night, so as not to disrupt vehicle traffic", explains the Porto City Council.
