Gustavo Petro, President of Colombia, announced in Beijing that his country will be joining China’s Belt and Road Initiative, aimed at enhancing global connectivity through infrastructure projects such as roads, ports, and telecommunications, involving more than 150 countries and investments exceeding $1 trillion.
He also highlighted plans to foster technological hubs in San Andrés and Buenaventura.
