According to the IPMA, the orange warning will remain in effect until 6:00pm on Saturday in these four districts in the North and Centre interior, where maximum temperatures will range between 34°C (94°F) and 39°C (100°F).

The yellow warning has also been extended until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday in the districts of Viana do Castelo, Braga, Porto, Aveiro, Castelo Branco, Portalegre, Évora, and Beja due to persistently high maximum temperatures.

The district of Coimbra is no longer under the yellow warning, but it will be in effect again on Saturday until 6:00 p.m.

The remaining districts on the mainland have no warnings.

Mainland Portugal has been on alert since Sunday and continues to this day due to the high risk of fires.

The IPMA forecasts a slight drop in maximum temperatures today, especially on the North and Central coasts, and a slight rise in the Algarve. Minimum temperatures are also expected to drop.
