In the case of the Azores, the notice published this Tuesday in the Official Gazette indicates the opening of a common competition to fill three positions under an indefinite-term employment contract in the technical assistant category, divided between Angra do Heroísmo (1), Horta (1), and Ponta Delgada (1).
For the Algarve, four vacancies will be opened under the same conditions, distributed across Albufeira (1), Faro (1), Portimão (1), and Tavira (1). While the Setúbal Peninsula has two vacancies, both at the AIMA store in Setúbal, and Madeira has one vacancy, at the Funchal store.
The Alentejo region, in turn, has the largest number of vacancies, with a total of eight, distributed across the agency's stores in Beja (2), Évora (2), Odemira (2), and Portalegre (2).
Like the competitions announced on Monday, recruitment for these five competitive processes "is open to workers with a previously established public employment contract for an indefinite period, with a fixed-term public employment contract, or without a public employment contract."
The holders of these positions will perform customer service duties in AIMA's specific areas of activity, particularly in the area of documenting the residence of foreign citizens.
For technical assistant positions, the minimum academic qualifications required of candidates are a 12th grade diploma or equivalent, with no substitution of qualifications for professional training or experience.
The three competitions will be announced on the Public Employment Exchange (BEP) (www.bep.gov.pt), on the AIMA website (www.aima.gov.pt), and on the Public Employment portal (www.empregopublico.gov.pt).
Candidates have 20 business days to apply, starting the day after the full announcement is published in the BEP.

This is laughable

It’s about time AIMA got its act together! So much conflicting evidence of what is needed for renewals of residency. Seems to depend on who you speak to because all tell you different information.

18 more people to an organisation that has collapsed and does not work at all, won't help. Close current system and put in people with leadership knowledge and customer focus build a new way of working.
