The first flight from Seoul to Malaga landed in Spain on Sunday, October 12, and will be followed by three more flights throughout October and early November.
According to the Spanish newspaper Hosteltur, Korean Air's flights to Malaga are operated on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, with a capacity to carry 291 passengers in three classes.
In addition to Malaga, the tour packages Hanjin Travel is selling in South Korea also include cultural and leisure experiences in Seville, Granada, and Cádiz.
In Spain, Korean Air already flies to Madrid and Barcelona, and may add Malaga to its network of regular destinations in the future, as this Spanish city is also interested in attracting long-haul markets, like the Korean one.
In September of last year, the South Korean airline also opened a route to Lisbon, connecting the Portuguese capital to Seoul three times a week, using a Boeing 787-9 aircraft with a capacity of 278 passengers.
