Wines2Inspire brings international family wines to Portugal

With more than 20 years of experience in the international wine business, they combine expertise with a personal touch — offering carefully selected wines that tell a story of family, heritage, and craftsmanship.

The foundation of Wines2Inspire lies in the family business in the Netherlands, established over 60 years ago by Monique’s father, Joop Bart. What began as a small import of wines from family-owned domaines has grown into a trusted network of more than 600 wines sourced from passionate winemakers across France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Germany, Chile, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, the Netherlands and more.

Now based in the Algarve, where they also run their B&B Casa Verdazul near Tavira, Frank and Monique are excited to share their favourite discoveries with wine lovers in Portugal. Each wine is chosen for its authenticity, balance, and sense of place — with a strong focus on family-run wineries that combine tradition with sustainability and true dedication to their craft.

In 2022, they planted their own family vineyard near Tavira, a dream come true. This year marks their second vintage, producing red wines made from Touriga Nacional and Syrah. Though these wines are not for sale, they are an integral part of the Wines2Inspire story — a hands-on experience that deepens their understanding of winemaking and enriches the way they pair wine with food.

Beyond selecting and crafting wines, Frank and Monique’s biggest passion is food and flavour. They love cooking, experimenting with new recipes, and exploring how wine elevates every meal. This expertise is something they love to share — helping customers discover the perfect food and wine pairing for any occasion.
