The Algarve Biomedical Center (ABC) celebrates the success of the 4th edition of the Solidarity Run and Walk “Mama em Movimento”, which brought together 330 participants on 25 October, at MAR Shopping Algarve, Loulé.
The event was organised by the Algarve Biomedical Center in collaboration with Algarunners Sports Association, MAR Shopping Algarve, the Associação Oncológica do Algarve (AOA), and the Liga Portuguesa Contra o Cancro – Núcleo Regional do Sul (LPCC-NRS). Once again, the event brought the community together for a noble cause: raising awareness and promoting the prevention of breast cancer.

The initiative featured two routes open to everyone - a 6 km walk and a 10 km run/trail - in an event that radiated energy, solidarity, and a spirit of community.
All proceeds will be donated to AOA and LPCC-NRS, institutions that play a vital role in supporting cancer patients, promoting prevention, and advancing research.
The organisation is deeply grateful to all participants, partners, and sponsors involved, highlighting their shared commitment to promoting health and contributing to the fight against breast cancer.

More than just a sporting event, “Mama em Movimento” is part of the Algarve Biomedical Center’s ongoing work in oncological research and community support.
ABC reaffirms its commitment to promoting awareness and prevention initiatives, emphasising the importance of community solidarity for the well-being of all.
Every step makes a difference – thank you for joining this cause!
