The operation marks a reversal in the usual flow of investment and this time, it is Portugal that brings capital and technology to the North American market, reinforcing the country's growing role in the global drone and emergency solutions industry.

The bet comes in the context of strong growth for the company, which closed the year 2024 with a turnover of 2.4 million euros and expects to reach 20 million by the end of this year. The increase in international demand and the signing of a 15 million euro contract with US entities, for the supply of 300 emergency drones by 2028, support the expansion strategy.

This equipment is intended to improve the response to emergency situations, drastically reducing the time to arrive at the stage. While an ambulance takes between 20 and 30 minutes, the drones developed by Beyond Vision can arrive in less than five minutes, allowing them to assess the severity of the incident and determine the need for additional resources.

With an autonomy of 40 minutes, thermal and daytime cameras and a load capacity of 1.5 kilograms, the drones are stored in automatic charging stations, ready to be activated in case of emergency. The contract provides for the delivery of 50 drones in 2026, 100 in 2027 and 150 in 2028, with the possibility of expansion up to 1,000 units, depending on the results of the tests and the proof of concept.

The first 300 pieces of equipment will be produced in Portugal, but the new unit in the United States will allow part of the production to be transferred to the local market and respond more quickly to orders. The American factory will represent not only a technological leap, but also a symbol of the internationalization of Portuguese industry, which is asserting itself in sectors of high technology and innovation.

Founded in 2013, Beyond Vision plans to increase the number of employees from the current 80 to 800 by 2035, keeping pace with international expansion. With 95% of production destined for export and covering markets such as the United States, the Middle East, Brazil and Europe. This company demonstrates that Portuguese talent and engineering can compete at the highest global level, taking the "Made in Portugal" brand further.
