The surrounding area of these stores also underwent extensive redevelopment, which included improvements to sidewalks, public transport shelters, and horizontal signage. These investments demonstrate Lidl Portugal's ongoing commitment to modernization, sustainability, and a positive impact on the communities where it operates," it states.

The group also says that, "committed to creating value, Lidl maintained the teams of the stores now replaced and reinforced them with additional hires, offering, as usual, permanent contracts. The Anadia store employs 20 people, 3 of whom are new hires. In turn, the Porto de Mós store now has 26 employees (including 6 new hires)."

"With these openings, Lidl Portugal reinforces its presence from north to south of the country, offering larger, more comfortable and technologically more modern spaces, making the shopping experience simpler, faster and more enjoyable," concludes the supermarket group.
