Friday Mornings at 10:30am in the Restaurant of Tavira Garden have become a time of great joy for Christians in and around the Tavira Area

That’s the time that Christ the King holds their regular Morning Prayer Service, but a service with a difference. The time is always scripturally based and focused on unpacking the Bible, which leads to lively discussions about how this can influence our lives in the 21st Century. Together with singing of the more modern hymns, prayer, regular Holy Communion and excellent coffee, the Service has become a regular must-do for its Congregation, their friends and family.

As with all places of faith in the Algarve, the snowbirds come and go and holiday makers find their way to our doors from social media. But as with our Almancil Church, life at Tavira Fellowship goes way beyond Friday mornings. We are a community who care and supports each other through life’s successes and failures, trials and sorrows.

More recently, the Congregation has opened its worship to all the other English-speaking churches in the Tavira area. “Breaking Bread” at the end of September was an open-to-all all bible study and prayer meeting – opening with joyous worship music and ending with a great meal at a local Indian Restaurant. 29 worshippers came and participated, and there are plans to make this a regular event.

In addition to the English-speaking fellowship on Friday, we are also part of the Jesus House Church – a blended Nepalese and English-speaking worship which serves the local Nepalese community in the area. An exuberant and lively service on a Sunday afternoon from 2pm – 4pm in the Church of TCC1 in Pegada. So come and see what we are all about.

All are welcome:
