The production arrives in Lisbon on 17 and 18 December for two exclusive performances at Espaço Laboratório.
Beyond its visual spectacle, the show also aims to make a tangible difference in the community. Once Upon The Air is partnering with Lisbon Project, a non-profit organisation supporting vulnerable and underserved people across the city. Audience members are encouraged to bring a blanket donation to the event, which will be distributed to families and individuals facing winter in precarious conditions.
“Art should not only inspire — it should uplift the people around us,” says co-creator and co-producer Mika Naidoo, an aerialist and creative producer based in Lisbon. “As we bring these fairytales to life, we also want to bring warmth and support to those who need it most.”
Created by Naidoo with creative input from members of Little Lion Entertainment, the award-winning UK team behind The Crystal Maze LIVE Experience, Judge Dredd Uprising, and Tomb Raider: The LIVE Experience, Once Upon The Air blends contemporary circus, dance, original staging, and atmospheric lighting into a wordless storytelling journey.
The show brings iconic characters — from Cinderella and Snow White to Rapunzel and Red Riding Hood — into the air, transforming familiar narratives into physical, emotional performances that aim to resonate across all ages and languages.
