Regarding Portugal, easyJet reports that it operated a total of 96 routes to and from Portuguese airports, consolidating its 1st place in Madeira and 2nd place in the main mainland airports – Lisbon, Porto and Faro.
In Portugal, easyJet registered more than 10.5 million passengers compared to a total capacity of more than 11.4 million available seats, demonstrating a “stable” performance compared to the previous year.
One of the pillars of easyJet's success in Portugal during this period was, according to the company, “the remarkable average load factor of 92%, one of the highest values in its entire network,” highlighting that these results demonstrate “the excellence of easyJet's management in optimizing its offer, ensuring high passenger engagement.” Furthermore, it acknowledges that “the solid load factor reflects a strong market position, which guaranteed the airline the maintenance of its third position in the Portuguese market.”
New routes
In 2025, easyJet launched 11 new routes to and from Portugal, and connections to Sal Island (Cape Verde) and Split (Croatia) were inaugurated in Porto. In Lisbon, easyJet expanded its offering with new routes to Sal Island (Cape Verde), Milan (Linate), Palermo, and Tirana, while routes to Zurich and Bordeaux were inaugurated from Faro, and new flights to Amsterdam, Nantes, and London (Luton) were launched from Funchal. Regarding the routes to Sal Island, both from Porto and Lisbon, easyJet considers these a "historic milestone for the company," as they were the company's first connections to Sub-Saharan Africa, to which were added, this winter, connections from Lisbon to Praia, Boa Vista, and São Vicente, and from Porto to Praia and Boa Vista.
