There is no national map regarding water cuts as they are communicated in a decentralised way, by municipality or local operator. However Postal has gathered together information for this week regarding cuts in certain areas of the country.

Tavira

In Tavira, Taviraverde announced a series of scheduled interruptions on different streets during different periods, emphasising that the allocation is limited to customers located in the area indicated on the map, not covering the rest of the municipality.

On Tuesday, December 9th, an interruption was scheduled between 9 am and 6 pm on Rua Dr. Parreira, followed, on the same day, by a shorter window, between 2 pm and 6 pm, on Avenida Zeca Afonso. On Wednesday, December 10th, the indicated interruption is between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM on Rua Guilherme Gomes Fernandes, in addition to a new window between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM on Avenida Doutor Eduardo Mansinho.

For Thursday, December 11th, the company indicates a new interruption between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM on Rua dos Namarrais, and between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM on Rua dos Pelames, both in the parish of Tavira, in addition to a cut, also between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM, on Rua Poeta António Aleixo, in the parish of Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo.

Sintra

In Sintra, SMAS indicated a scheduled interruption for Tuesday, December 9th, between 8:30 AM and 1:00 PM, in the Abrunheira area. The affected area includes a set of streets and business districts, with reference to arteries such as Avenida Dr. Luís de Sá, Estrada Terras da Lagoa, Rua Infante D. Henrique, and the Sintra Business Park area, among others.

An intervention is also planned for the early morning of Thursday, December 11th, between 00:10 and 06:00, associated with the washing and disinfection of a reservoir. According to the notice, the operation covers areas of Belas (namely Venda Seca and Casal da Carregueira) and areas of Agualva/Mira Sintra (including Mira Sintra and Agualva).

In these cases, in addition to the cut itself, the restoration of the water supply is usually gradual, with the pressure stabilizing in stages. The services recommend that residents follow official updates and confirm the complete list of affected streets.

Castelo de Vide and Almeirim

In Alto Alentejo, Águas do Alto Alentejo announced phased cuts in Castelo de Vide, associated with reservoir sanitation and network operations, with a schedule spread over several days. The first period indicated is on the night of Tuesday, December 9th, with an interruption between 9 pm and 4 am, affecting Póvoa and Meadas.

In Castelo de Vide itself, the water supply is scheduled to be cut during the day on three dates: Wednesday, December 10th, and Thursday, December 11th, both between 8 am and 6 pm, and again on Friday, December 12th, also between 8 am and 6 pm, according to the information released.

In Ribatejo, a temporary suspension of water supply was announced in Fazendas de Almeirim on Thursday, December 11th, between 8 am and 12 pm, associated with network improvement works.

Leiria

In Leiria, SMAS (the water and sanitation company) issued two different notices for the same week: one relating to disturbances with pressure fluctuations and another already referring to an interruption of supply. For Wednesday, December 10th, the possibility of pressure fluctuations between 9:30 am and 3:30 pm is indicated, affecting Coimbrão, Monte Redondo and Carreira, without indication of a generalized "total cut".

For Friday, December 12th, a cut in the supply in Monte Redondo and Carreira was announced, listed as a scheduled interruption. In these scenarios, it is usual for the services to advise consumers to take care.
