On December 24 (Christmas Eve) and December 31 (New Year's Eve), collection will be done until 6pm. There will be no garbage collection on December 25 and January 1.

On December 26 and January 2, the usual collection schedule will resume.

Because of this, the city hall asks for the cooperation of all residents during this period to better manage waste collection, avoiding accumulation near waste disposal sites.

Loulé council reminds residents that waste should be placed in the respective containers: Bio-waste (leftover prepared or unprepared food) – brown container; Paper/cardboard – blue recycling bin; Packaging – yellow recycling bin; Glass – green recycling bin; Undifferentiated waste (everything left over not subject to recycling that is not covered by the previous equipment) – semi-buried circular Moloks, 4-wheeled containers (green PVC or metal) and buried structures with green markers on the surface.

"If the equipment is full, store the waste at home until the next collection or look for the nearest available container. We are counting on you to make a difference," says the local authority.
