The Church and Convent of Graça.
It does more than just look pretty; however, originally created in the 13th century by the Hermits of the Order of Saint Augustine. The church’s history goes far back. Even though the church we admire here today comes from the rebuilding efforts that were reforming the city after the devastating 1755 earthquake that struck Portugal and its capital severely.
As so many other churches that were rebuilt. It showcases resilience. Even today, we find humans lighting candles for their causes and looking for divine help and answers.
The view after exiting the church, especially during a sunset, can also serves as a further great visit to contemplate.
After all, we can find a connection everywhere.
