The investment is aimed at improving access to interior municipalities such as Góis, Arganil and Vila Nova de Poiares. The plan involves duplicating and upgrading the IP3 between Santa Comba Dão and Viseu, rehabilitating existing stretches and building a Penacova bypass.
Approved by the Council of Ministers, the project schedules studies, environmental assessments and construction between 2025 and 2035, leaving toll decisions for separate evaluation.
