Rotaract is a service organisation for young adults aged 18 and over, sponsored by Rotary International. The name "Rotaract" combines "Rotary" and "Interact," reflecting its roots in the Rotary family and its focus on action.

Rotaract aims to:

  • Develop leadership and professional skills
  • Promote community service and international understanding
  • Foster friendships and networking among young leaders

District 1960 Governor Jorge Lucas Coelho attended and handed over the certificate of membership to President Elect Joana Ramos. Other Rotaractors were then presented with their pins and certificates. After lunch the District Governor gave the final speech, highlighting the work carried out within Rotary and referring to the gear wheel of the Rotary, and the symbol of its 24 teeth.

“We are present throughout the world 24 hours a day and we will let the world know what we do for the whole world. We must be prepared to do and know how to do our work within Rotary”.

RCEPI Rotaract Club will be organising its own projects and fundraising and if you are interested in joining contact rotaractestoi@gmail.com
