The information was given by Associação das Companhias Aéreas, and quoted by ECO.
Paulo Geisler, quoted by ECO, said that by this morning, the airport was registering “some waiting peaks of one hour”, which is less time when compared to the six and seven-hour waiting times registered in December.«
RENA mentioned that the reduction of the waiting times is linked to the Government decisions, which in 30 December announced the suspension, for three months of the new entry/exist system of passengers in Schengen Area. There has also get a reinforcement in border control, with the entrance into force of 24 GNR military.

I believe there is a problem as reported, but I have yet to encounter it. In the early 20-teen years, when arriving to visit, I always stood in the passport/border line for easily 90-mins. Since EES came into being, my average (of 3 trips) coming back into Portugal was 7-minutes. That is going thru the non-EU line. Is there an actual problem or is the problem with flight arrival management?
