This €2.5 million acquisition adds 33,000 square metres behind the hospital, doubling its size and enabling outpatient, diagnostic, administrative and support services to relocate to the site by 2029.

According to the Alto Alentejo health authority, the project will free space in the existing hospital for emergency and clinical expansion, with plans already designed and a four-year timeline to complete construction and secure funding.
