The annual Luxury Outlook 2026 report was recently released by Portugal Sotheby’s International Realty, which analysed several parameters, including the sector’s evolution and the key economic and social factors influencing demand.
Based on this analysis, the report found that, in addition to surpassing the traditional real estate market in sales, the luxury segment is expected to continue growing this year.
According to Miguel Poisson, CEO of Portugal Sotheby’s Realty, ‘Luxury Outlook was created to support clients and the market in navigating a rapidly changing environment through rigorous data and the experience of our global network of real estate consultants.’
As for the growth of the luxury segment in the country, he states that "the luxury real estate market in Portugal continues to benefit from very solid demand, both nationally and internationally, in a context of still limited supply, which has put pressure on prices.
Lisbon remains a central hub for the luxury segment, but we are also seeing strong demand for other geographical locations, such as Cascais, Porto, the Algarve and Madeira, and for the development of new premium residential projects in emerging areas, sought after by buyers who value exclusivity and quality of life.”
The report also notes growing interest in branded residences in Portugal, positioning the country in line with a global trend toward demand for high-end, low-maintenance housing.
Coastal cities are considered ideal destinations for this type of residence, as the concept aligns with the profile of a demanding, lifestyle-oriented international buyer.

It hasn't got the must dynamic luxury real estate, the market is overloaded with the most overpriced moldy properties and now due to the high investor interest, reshaped, reconstructed, branded projects of properties that are still not built with quality workmanship and materials. Pure Bubble...
