Ten districts in mainland Portugal will be under a yellow warning on Tuesday and Wednesday, 20 and 21 January, due to rough seas, with waves of 4 to 5 metres expected from the north-west, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA).

The districts of Porto, Faro, Setúbal, Viana do Castelo, Lisbon, Leira, Beja, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga will be under a yellow warning between midday on Tuesday and 9 am on Wednesday.
The yellow warning is issued by the IPMA when there is a risk of certain weather-dependent activities.
