There is no force, no cohersion and no pressure. Everyone has the right to believe what they want to believe. Even if you do not believe it, Jesus is also and always there for you, but let us leave that as there can be many reasons why you do not believe.
Going to church isn’t just about Jesus. Many visit the church for births, weddings and deaths. Why is this? Two happy events and a sad event in church in a holy and sanctified place that people go to celebrate twice and then to pay their respects to a deceased friend or loved one they care about.
Going regularly to church doesn’t just have to be about giving thanks to Jesus. It can be about fellowship and the development of a sense of community. Most people who go to church are kind, caring, compassionate people. This is usually the result of following Jesus teachings and trying to be more like Him. Visiting a church allows you to make new friends, even if you are shy or nervous about meeting new people. Church congregations are supportive places where you can discuss issues you may have. They are very good places to find out information on what is going on in your area.
Is that it? Another thing to consider. You might be coming to the end of your life having lived a very rich, full, eventful and successful life. But is that really it? As Christians, we believe not. It is never too late to find faith. It is never too late to visit the church. It is never too late to develop a belief in the afterlife. In short, it is never ever too late to believe in Jesus
A Message for Lapsed Christians
Jesus’ power is Eternal. As a Christian, you knew and believed this once. What happened? Jesus represents all that is good in the World – love, happiness, joy, selfless service, truth, mercy, forgiveness and grace (unmerited favour) to mention a few qualities. As you read this, you know this is true.
What happened? You know Jesus is there for you, no matter how many times you rejected or walked away from Him. Even if you continue to reject Him he will always be waiting for you.

There is nothing stopping you. There is no guilt, no shame, no condemnation, no judging, no criticism. There is only Love, Joy, Happiness and a sense of fulfilment in returning to Jesus. Come home to an old friend! Visit your local church.
A message for Believers
God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, Jesus, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
This verse is probably the most quoted verse and is the heart of all Christian belief. God’s love for humanity required Jesus’ sacrifice for all our sins so that through our belief in Jesus we can have eternal life. Jesus showed this to be true through his resurrection and then ascension. This is the central tenet of the New Testament that we are under Grace, unmerited favour of God as a result of Jesus. The Old Testament of Moses Law is redundant.
Giving thanks to Jesus in church can bring such peace and relief. It provides a space to learn more about Jesus, connect more with Jesus and receive encouragement from Jesus.
If you are not regularly attending church perhaps you should!

Hilarious, get on with the times. Jesus was not white to begin with. I reserve my opinion on this article.

What on earth in this doing in a newspaper? Has some religious fundamentalist taken over the Portuguese News?

I didn't realize that the Portugal News was both into predatory real estate practices and promoting Jesus, but from what I've seen from the "Christians" advocating for ICE and against immigrants, it fits. I'll find my "news" elsewhere.

Why are you publishing this kind of stuff?
