According to IPMA, this was a rare situation, with a similar storm only in 2009 and 2018.

More than 3000 occurrences were reported due to the storm, with the Leiria district being the most affected. Power cuts, road and school closures, suspended rail traffic, and landslides were among the incidents reported. The central region was particularly impacted, including Lisbon, Setúbal, Aveiro, Coimbra, and Peniche.

IPMA recorded wind gusts of 150km/h and significant wave heights along the coast.

Strong winds accompanied by heavy rain also caused significant damage in the Algarve. Fallen trees and structures were brought down, and many buildings and commercial premises were flooded. Hydrological data indicate that rivers, including the Arade, are experiencing increased flows and localised urban flooding due to intense rainfall associated with the storm system.
