The update also significantly expands the network of partner charging points available to customers, making it easier than ever to keep their Volvo EVs charged on the go.
Building on access to the MOBI.E public network—effectively all chargers in Portugal within that network—Volvo Public Charging Service (VPCS) has taken a major step forward by expanding its Large tariff to new operators.
Customers now enjoy 30% discounts at Ionity, EDP, and Powerdot charging stations, with more partner integrations planned throughout the year. In practice, this means a much larger charging network, better commercial conditions, and a fully managed charging experience through the Volvo Cars app, designed to be simple and intuitive for users.
With this expansion of the 30% discount, Volvo’s offering now applies to over 5,000 public charging stations, compared to the previous 75 stations, which were exclusively part of the Ionity network.
As part of this update, Volvo also introduces a new, clearer way to display charging costs, making it easier for customers to understand pricing. This reinforces transparency and gives drivers greater control over each charging session, all directly through the Volvo Public Charging Service in the Volvo Cars app.
