The severe overnight weather has left more than 86,000 people without electricity and has resulted in nearly 400 incidents, including floods, landslides, and road closures. Since last week, the storms have already caused 11 deaths across the country.
According to E-REDES, by 7:30 am, the most affected areas were experiencing outages from Depression Kristin, affecting 76,000 customers.
The hardest-hit district is Leiria, with 57,000 people still without power, followed by Santarém (15,000), Castelo Branco (3,000), and Coimbra (1,000).

I’m surprised to see no mention of the support Portugal is receiving for other countries to help restore power to areas affected by power outages as a result of the recent storms. I know for example Ireland already has repair crews on the way to help Portugal with that task.
