The initiative involves school clusters, NOBEL, and private social solidarity institutions, operating across Parchal, Mexilhoeira da Carregação, Estômbar, Lagoa, Carvoeiro, and Porches.

The parade aims to mobilise the school community around citizenship education while promoting the municipality's history and cultural identity. This year, the costumes and performances will be inspired by the theme "Freedom," inviting children and the community to celebrate Carnival as a popular manifestation and a space for reflection.

This initiative is part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of Local Government and the Portuguese Constitution, underscoring the importance of instilling the values of freedom and civic participation from childhood.
