The President of the Republic in Portugal receives €8,370.14 per month before any deductions. However, with representation expenses, the gross salary can exceed €11,000 per month.

According to information released by ECO, in 2025, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa received a €650 increase, raising his salary to €11,718.2 gross per month. However, after income tax, social security contributions and ADSE deductions, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa's salary would be around €6,000 net.
It is therefore expected that António José Seguro will earn the same amount each month after taking office.
