According to the update provided today at 9 am by the GNR on the state of roads in the Aveiro district, 26 roads are closed or partially closed due to flooding, landslides, and road subsidence.
The most serious situation continues to be in the municipality of Águeda, with seven roads closed due to flooding of the Águeda River, namely Rua da Pateira (Fermentelos), Estrada do Campo (in the Espinhel and Recardães area), Rua do Campo (Segadães), Estrada Real (Lamas do Vouga), Rua Ponte da Barca (Serém), and Estrada Municipal (EM) 577 (Fontinha).
In this municipality, Rua do Covão (Valongo do Vouga) remains closed due to a landslide, and the IC2 (Itinerário Complementar 2) at kilometre 239, in the north/south direction, also remains restricted due to a landslide.
In Estarreja, several streets in Canelas are also closed due to flooding, namely Rua da Estação, Rua General Artur Beirão, the road parallel to the railway line (BIORIA), Rua do Vale (Fermelã), and Rua do Feiro (Salreu).
In Murtosa, there has been a significant improvement, and of the six roads that were closed, only Rua Caminho das Remolhas (Bunheiro) and Travessa Arrais Francisco Faustino (Torreira) remain closed.
In Albergaria-a-Velha, the GNR (National Republican Guard) reports the closure of National Road 230-2 (Angeja) due to flooding, and of the M553 (Ribeira de Fráguas) due to road collapse. In Ovar, Avenida da Praia (Maceda) is closed due to a landslide.
In Aveiro, Rua Direita and Rua da Pateira in Requeixo, Rua da Valsa (Eixo) and Marquês de Pombal in Cacia are impassable due to flooding. In Ílhavo, Rua do Sul (Gafanha de Aquém) is closed due to flooding.
Further south, in Anadia, Rua São Simão (Espairo) and Rua da ETAR (Avelãs de Caminho) are closed due to flooding.
