This will be the first time one of the events has been held in Denver, with both Philadelphia and Boston now annual fixtures.
Next month, the highly sought-after seminars are scheduled for Denver on March 7th at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Philadelphia on the 11th at the Rittenhouse Hotel, and Boston on the 14th at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
The Living in Portugal shows are organised by the Portugal-based publishing company Open Media and offer those considering Portugal as a place to retire, to work, or simply as a Plan B, the opportunity to gather a vast amount of information under one roof during morning or afternoon seminar sessions.
The events bring together speakers and exhibitors from diverse fields of expertise, ensuring that all who attend gather useful information.
The Portugal News spoke to Bruce Hawker, CEO of Open Media and host of the events: “When we staged our first US events back in 2023, we found that many participants had not yet even visited Portugal. But this has changed: as more people from the US have visited Portugal over the last few years, companies participating in our events have consistently reported higher engagement. We meet people at the beginning of their relocation journey who are keen to gather as much information as possible, whilst others may already have their residential visas in place and are ready to make the move”.

Bruce Hawker, left holding a panel session with property professionals João Costa of Ombria Resort, Alda Filipe of Kronos Homes and Jaan-Claire Rodrigues of Quinta do Lago, at a recent US event.
At the March events, visitors can learn about topics including residential visas and taxation, relocation and removal logistics, healthcare and health insurance, and real estate and investment funds eligible for Portugal’s Golden Visa.
The morning or afternoon sessions are identical in terms of content; on arrival, guests enjoy complimentary refreshments before sitting in on a 90-minute presentation, after which Portuguese wine and cheese are served, and guests have time to meet the speakers and have any questions answered.

“The feedback we get from people who visit our events is always very positive,” said Bruce. “Visitors always appreciate the fact that we cover a wide range of subjects with short, concise presentations from each speaker.”
