In a statement released by the police force, it is described that “the defendant, a 30-year-old foreign national, is charged with committing a violent crime in the context of attempted robbery with a bladed weapon.”

The arrest took place at 8:50 pm in a commercial establishment after citizens alerted the police that a man was “committing a robbery with a knife.”

The crime was confirmed by the PSP's Airport Security and Border Control Division, and the suspect was arrested in flagrante delicto.

The PSP emphasises the importance of rapid police intervention and citizens' collaboration in resolving the incident.
