Bishop Manuel Neto Quintas announced in this year’s Lenten message that the Diocese of Algarve will create a solidarity fund to support families affected by the bad weather.

According to Sul Informação, the funds will be given to Cáritas Diocesana do Algarve, ensuring that the aid reaches those who are truly in dire need.
The Bishop also revealed that the solidarity effort is already underway, with 11 tons of essential goods delivered in coordination with Cáritas de Leiria.
