"The company will make available up to seven more flights per week and increase capacity at certain times according to demand and availability of resources," an official source told Lusa.
According to the same source, "this capacity reallocation effort is intended to meet the needs of the population affected by the closure of the A1 and will remain in place until it proves necessary," he added.
Repair work on the section of the A1 that collapsed on 11 February after a dike burst on the Mondego River in Coimbra is underway, but there is still no completion date, Brisa informed this afternoon.
"It is not possible, for now, to estimate the completion date of the repair work," indicated BCR - Brisa Concessão Rodoviária, in a statement.
"The alternative routes for A1 users remain the A8/A17/A25 corridor or the IC2".
