“We are going to launch the tender, because we have already approved the project and the application to the ITI [Integrated Territorial Investments program] to renovate [the pavilion] as soon as possible,” the mayor of Carregal do Sal, Paulo Catalino Ferraz, told the Lusa news agency today.
The mayor of Carregal do Sal, in the district of Viseu, highlighted that energy efficiency is one of the areas targeted for the intervention, with “financing possible through an application” that has already been approved.
“But we will also improve rooms attached to the pavilion where other sports activities are practised, and we will refurbish the changing rooms,” he added.
In total, Paulo Catalino Ferraz accounted for an “investment of 371 thousand euros, of which 300 thousand is the maximum eligible amount in the application, and of that, 251 thousand euros are co-financed by ITI,” with the Municipality of Carregal do Sal assuming “the remaining one hundred and some [120] thousand euros,” he detailed.
