Ryanair announced it will abandon operations at Clermont-Ferrand Airport, affecting routes to Porto. For flights to the Portuguese city, the aircraft had an 98% occupancy rate on its two weekly flights.

The airline's decision mainly affects the Portuguese community residing in the French region, which numbers approximately 15,000. The alternative is to use Lyon airport, which is 180 kilometres from Clermont-Ferrand.
