Three of the routes will be operated by Eurowings and will connect Lisbon to Berlin, Faro to Prague, and Funchal to Hanover. In turn, Austrian Airlines will connect Vienna to Ponta Delgada.

The information was shared by Thomas Ahlers, General Sales Director of the Lufthansa Group in Portugal, to Publituris. According to the manager, none of the routes operated during the summer of 2025, reflecting the Lufthansa Group's planned growth for 2026, which will connect Portugal to more cities, with an emphasis on diversifying the offer to the Portuguese Autonomous Regions.

Thomas Ahlers highlights the Eurowings connection between Lisbon and Berlin, which will now operate twice a week, with the aim of strengthening ties between the two cities.
