In a statement, the company says it is focused on restoring the electricity supply.
In the statement, the company reinforces the warning that if the population identifies fallen or damaged electrical infrastructure, they should stay away and report the situation to E-Redes (800 506 506 or balcaodigital.e-redes.pt).
In the previous update, at 1 pm on Tuesday, 17 February, E-Redes reported that approximately 9,000 customers in areas affected by Storm Kristin were without electricity.
E-Redes' customers are considered "energy delivery points" such as homes, businesses, or shops with an electrical connection, making it difficult to quantify the number of people affected.
