afpop, the largest Association for foreign residents in Portugal, is proud to welcome Identity Abroad to the Algarve for a special satellite session at our offices in Portimão on Thursday, 5 March.
Identity Abroad is usually based in Porto, but will be coming to the Algarve with their fully FBI certified hardware and software to perform appointments for their Full Service FBI Criminal Background Check service.
Nathan Wang from Identity Abroad explains: “We'll capture applicants fingerprints using FBI certified digital live scan equipment, provide expedited shipping and tracking of their documents, handle submission through our approved U.S. channel partner, and deliver their FBI background checks as a PDF typically within 4-5 business days from appointment.
“While we can't perform the apostille process, we have relationships with two partners (Global Docs & Monument Visa) and have negotiated the exclusive discounted rate of $100 for our customers on their 10 business day turnaround rush service. Once applicants receive their FBI Background Check, they can send it to either partner to begin the apostille. Once complete, original physical documents are shipped back to Portugal ready for submission w/AIMA/IRN/etc. The entire process takes ~18-20 business days from appointment”.
If you would like to take advantage of this service in the Algarve on 5 March, or also in Lisbon on 2 March, where an additional satellite service is also being offered, then please request your session directly with Identity Abroad by visiting https://calendly.com/identityabroad-info.
This service is open to members and non-members of afpop, with discounts available for afpop members.

I've used their services in Porto. Friendly, efficient and cost effective. As a nurse I have always had trouble with fingerprints but they captured mine with no issues! Highly recommend!
