It means there is a moderate risk for weather-dependent activities.

Rain will continue in mainland Portugal until Thursday, mainly in the north and central regions, but nothing too serious, according to meteorologist Cristina Simões, adding that the next weekend will be sunny.

“We will continue to have precipitation in the northern and central regions. It is not a very serious situation; however, there will always be some precipitation. Some frontal surfaces will pass through, mainly affecting the north and centre. The southern region is more protected by the anticyclone, which is already closer to the continent,” Cristina Simões told Lusa.

According to the meteorologist from IPMA, on Wednesday, “the frontal surface will pass from north to south, it should reach the Alentejo with periods of light rain, but always more intense in Minho and Douro Litoral. As it goes south, it will lose activity, with light rain”.

According to Cristina Simões, the rain and showers will continue until Thursday, possibly including snow in the Serra da Estrela.
