The villa, which had seven bedrooms, was located in Quinta da Marinha, Cascais, and was seized as part of Operation Atlantic Route, as revealed by idealista.

The starting bid for the auction exceeded €8 million, but it was later sold for €10,953,499.55.

According to ECO, the property had 4,480 square meters, including the private area, distributed over three floors, for a total of 576 square meters. The villa included an outdoor swimming pool, gym, sauna, Turkish bath, cinema room with 11 seats, games room, and even a grand piano.

The auction was conducted by the Asset Administration Secretariat (GAB) of the Ministry of Justice, and the furniture inside and outside the house was also included. The house was reportedly seized more than 10 years ago during an investigation into allegations of corruption, money laundering, and tax fraud related to public contracts in Congo.

The auction lasted 10 minutes, and the buyer will have 15 days to pay for the property and all taxes associated with its acquisition.
