A montage, which circulated on X (formerly Twitter), suggested a film titled "Ronaldo" would be premiering in 2028, directed by Michael Mann and featuring a star-studded cast: Timothée Chalamet as the Portuguese star, Andrew Garfield as Lionel Messi, and Ana de Armas as Georgina Rodríguez.
However, there has been no official confirmation from studios or agents, and the page in question has disappeared, proving it to be nothing more than an elaborate fan-made montage.
Despite the excitement generated, the actors mentioned have their schedules filled with other projects — Chalamet is focused on the ‘Dune’ universe.
It is true that Cristiano Ronaldo has strengthened his ties with the seventh art, having launched the “UR•Marv” studio in 2025 in partnership with director Matthew Vaughn, but so far, no biographical project about his career has been announced.
