This figure represents an increase of 0.2 percentage points compared to the 1.92% rate observed in January, signalling a moderate acceleration in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) year-on-year.
Following this trend, the underlying inflation indicator — which excludes the most volatile components, such as unprocessed food products and energy goods — also showed growth, reaching 1.9% in February.
This increase of 0.1 percentage points compared to the first month of the year confirms slightly higher price pressure, although the values remain close to the Eurozone's stability target.
