In a press conference in Lisbon, the organisation announced 15 new confirmations, including the American singer Ms Lauryn Hill, in a show that will feature Wyclef Jean, with whom she founded the Fugees in 1990, YG Marley and Zion, the singer's sons.
The Lauryn Hill concert will include "Fugees classics" and tracks from the album "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" (1998), played "in its entirety".
Lauryn Hill will perform on 29 August, for which Black Star (a duo formed in the late 1990s by rappers Mos Def and Talib Kweli), rapper Vince Staples, and the project that brings together Amaro Freitas, Criolo, and Dino D'Santiago, whose debut album was released this year, have also been confirmed.
Also confirmed for 29 August are: American singer Ravyn Lenae, New Zealanders Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Italian duo Mind Enterprises, British musician Joshua Idehen, American singer Tyler Ballgame, and Portuguese musicians Bruno Pernadas, Femme Falafel, and Raquel Martins.
Passes for the three days of the festival cost €120 until 1 March, after which they will cost €160.
Daily tickets are already on sale, for now only at MEO stores, for the "special price" of €59. Online sales begin on 5 March, at the same price. According to the organisers, "two days later the price will increase to €65".
