“This exemption applies to all users [domestic and non-domestic] and will be processed automatically in the billing, without requiring any type of request from users,” the municipality informed today.
This exceptional exemption from the water supply service availability fee applies from January 28th to February 15th.
According to the municipality, during this period, the water supply in the municipality of Sertã was generally ensured, “with some occasional interruptions due to power outages and ruptures in the supply networks, which were promptly resolved.”
The Sertã City Council also approved an exceptional reduction in the usage/occupancy fee for spaces in the municipality's municipal markets.
This decision took into account that, for a period, the conditions for using those spaces were not met.
“It was decided and approved to proceed with an exceptional 30% reduction for concessionaires with monthly contracts. This reduction will be reflected in the March invoice, also automatically, without the need for any request.”
According to the Vice-President of the Sertã Municipal Council, Rui Nunes, the adoption of these exceptional measures aims to “directly support the residents and minimise the constraints caused by the inclement weather, mitigating the impact felt by both families and economic agents.”
