A few days in Slovakia took me to the Low Tatras, where I stayed at Björnson Tree Houses in Jasná. The hotel is located in Demänovská Valley, right in the middle of the Jasná ski resort and very close to the slopes and cable cars, which makes it a great base for winter sports.

This is my absolute favourite place for recharge in Slovakia, and one of the things I loved most about it is the accommodation itself. Besides the main hotel, you can stay in wooden chalets called Tree Houses, hidden in the middle of the beautiful nature. They have a simple Scandinavian style and are surrounded by trees, which makes it feel quiet and very relaxing.

After a day outside, the wellness area is the perfect place to slow down. There are saunas, hot tubs, and relaxation areas located outdoors, which make the whole experience even nicer when you're surrounded by mountains and forest.

Jasná is one of the largest ski resorts in Slovakia, with many kilometres of slopes for skiers and snowboarders of all levels, so there are plenty of options.

Overall, it's a place that combines nature, winter sports, a great spa experience, and a very cozy mountain atmosphere.
