The public tender for the Renovation of the Operating Block of the Alcobaça Bernardino Lopes de Oliveira Hospital (HABLO), of the Local Health Unit of the Leiria Region, "aims to renovate the existing operating block, correcting constructive, technical and functional deficiencies, as well as the spatial reorganisation of the various service areas".
According to the Local Health Unit of the Leiria Region, this intervention intends to increase response capacity, improve the provision of care, optimise economic, energy and administrative efficiency, and "guarantee access to quality health services, with a more adequate and efficient response to the challenges faced by the National Health Service (SNS)".
The announcement, published in the Diário da República (Official Gazette) on Monday, establishes that the project will be launched with a base price of €1.8 million.
The project, co-financed by the European Union, will have a 180-day execution period.
The deadline for submitting proposals is 31 March.
The Bernardino Lopes de Oliveira Hospital is part of the Local Health Unit of the Leiria Region and has an area of influence of approximately 98,000 inhabitants from the municipalities of Alcobaça and Nazaré, both in the district of Leiria.
