The opening of this store marks Primaprix’s debut in a Portuguese retail park.
The store has introduced a specialised discount concept to encourage more frequent visits and boost footfall at this type of retail venue: retail parks.
In a statement, Carlos Récio, Head of Retail Portugal at CBRE (the consultancy responsible for bringing Primaprix to Lima Retail Park), said that “the arrival of Primaprix is part of a consistent effort to reposition Lima Retail Park, focused on enhancing the retail offering and introducing brands with strong appeal”.
“This process, which began with the opening of Action and was reinforced by the arrival of new brands such as Fábrica dos Óculos and Seaside, has resulted in a significant increase in footfall and sales of over 50%. We believe that Primaprix will further reinforce this positive momentum,” he adds.
Ricardo Correia, Asset Manager at Serris REIM and advisor to Sogenial Imobilier on the management of Lima Reital Park, notes that “following the acquisition of the asset in February 2024, the Park’s retail mix has evolved significantly with the opening of five new shops covering an area of over 6,000 m², reflecting a strategy of creating value for the owner, the tenants and the public who visit us”. Ricardo Correia also points out that the aim is “to continue investing in the Park, as part of an ambitious plan to be implemented over the next 18 months, with a view to enhancing the current offering”.
