The new route will connect Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport to New York's JFK Airport. The flights will be operated by Delta Airlines.

The new flights between New York and Porto reinforce the city's position as the main gateway to the Northwest of the Iberian Peninsula.

Rui Alves, Director of Porto Airport, expresses pride in the infrastructure, “in announcing the arrival of one of the world's largest airlines, reinforcing Porto's position as the main gateway to the Northwest of the Iberian Peninsula. Delta Air Lines' investment in the Porto region is a clear recognition of the market's growing importance, which has more than doubled since 2019 and is expected to grow by more than 20% this year. This result was only possible thanks to the close collaboration between ANA Aeroportos de Portugal – VINCI Airports, Delta Air Lines, Turismo de Portugal, the Porto and North Tourism Association and partner entities, who work together to expand the region's connections with the world."
