Praia da Ribeira is a small, beautiful beach full of local life, right in the centre of Cascais.
This beach is very easy to reach because it’s just a short walk from the main streets, restaurants, and shops. Because it’s in the centre, it can get busy, especially in summer. However, many people enjoy this lively atmosphere. You can grab a coffee, eat at a nearby restaurant, or simply watch people walking along the promenade.
Ribeira Beach is also often called “Fishermen’s Beach.” It got this name because local fishermen used this beach to bring their boats in. Even today, you can still see small fishing boats there, which keeps that traditional feeling alive.
Palácio Seixas is the elegant building right next to Praia da Ribeira, adding a lot of charm to the area. It was built in the late 1800s and designed to look like a small medieval castle, with towers and decorative details.
