After a draw against Mexico, the Portuguese team, coached by Roberto Martínez, took the lead with a goal from Francisco Trincão in the 37th minute, and extended their advantage with João Félix in the 59th minute.

This was the last game for the Portuguese national team before the final squad for the 2026 World Cup is announced, which will take place from 11 June to 19 July in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Portugal is in Group K, along with Uzbekistan, Colombia and the Democratic Republic of Congo, which will be the team’s opponent in their opening match on 17 June.
