One of my favourite places in Lisbon is the Miradouro da Graça. The view from here is simply stunning. Sitting here, you can see across the city, including the Castelo de São Jorge and all the typical red rooftops that make Lisbon so recognizable.

The official name of this place is Miradouro Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen. It was renamed to honour Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen, a well-known Portuguese writer. She wrote poems, short stories, and children’s fairy tales, which are still popular today. Besides writing, she spoke openly about freedom and democracy during Portugal's dictatorship. Her work is still studied today, and she remains an important figure in Portuguese literature.
